Research and development project in joint venture with the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) from the Polytechnical University of Barcelona, to develop a software simulation tool to predict the dynamic behaviour of large ram air wings systems. The tool will be validated empirically an will include simulation of the deployment sequence as well as full open canopy system dynamics with twelve axis of freedom thus greatly enhancing the engineering capability to produce preliminary designs of large heavily loaded ram air wings.

Funded by Generalitat de Catalunya and the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce the program will have a duration of 2 years.
